Creating a 3D print with your design

To create a 3D printable design, we'll use TinkerCad. Links to an external site.  You'll need to create a personal account with your own email.

Once you are logged in, create a 3D design.  You should find yourself on a page that looks like this.tinkercad

First, we're going to Import the 2 svg files we identified earlier.

You may need to resize your files on import.  I started with 10%.

Here are both my images imported.  They overlap each other, but we'll fix that in a moment.

For my 3D print, I don't want the base to be more than 3" on either end.  Tinkercad is set to mm, so I'm going to resize my image to 75mm (just under 3").  I'll set my base height to 2mm for the height.

Now, I'll resize my paintbrush to fit on the splash.  You might need to change your view Links to an external site. or move Links to an external site. your objects during this part of the project.  I'm also going to use the flip button in the top menu to better fit the paintbrush to the splash.

Finally, I'll set my height to 3mm, just a little taller than the splash.

Group Links to an external site. your models, and export your model to .stl or .obj for 3D printing.
