Additional Settings for Bambu Slicer

Most print settings in the Bambu Slicer can be found underneath the recommended settings tab.  In some circumstances, you may want to modify the default settings.  Below are some settings that you might want to update and where to find them.

Basic Model Movement

The tools across the top all allow you to edit or modify the model you've loaded.  Below we've highlighted the most frequently used tools.  From left to right, they give you the ability to make the following adjustments:

Arrange Plate - this will make sure that none of your parts are touching

Move - this moves the object around the plate

Rotate - this allows you to manually change the orientation along any access

Resize - you can resize either by specific dimensions or percentages

Infill:

Infill type and percentage can be found in the Strength panel.  You can read more about the different infill types and when you might use them in Bambu's Infill Types guide Links to an external site..

Support

The support tab includes options for support type - including  auto brim, adding a raft, and updating the threshold angle.  If there is an area of the 3D print that you don't want support, right click on the model and use the option "Add Support Blocker".  This will give you the option to create a shape that will block supports in a certain are.  You can read more about support blocker, and other support painting options, in Bambu's Support Painting Guide Links to an external site..

Multi color prints

One fun feature of the Bambu printer is the ability to print up to 4 colors.  To complete a multi color print, first you will need to add multiple colors to the printer.  If you load the same colors into the printer, it will automatically match the loaded filament to the appropriate parts of the print.

Adding new colors can be done by using the plus sign next in the filament box.

Once additional colors are added, the paint can symbol will be available when you click on an individual object.  I like to use the paint bucket tool, which will identify where there are any edges and fill larger sections.
