The Glowforge Assessment is an in-person requirement in order to use the Glowforge.   You can schedule your Glowforge assesment using this link:

You are required to complete a new assessment each academic year.  The proof of assessment must occur between September 1, 2024 and August 30, 2025 for the 24/25 academic year.

 

During this assessment you will be asked to do the following: 

Turn on the machine and filter in the correct sequence.

Insert your material (wood). 

Load the DSI coin files into the Glowforge Interface. 

Demonstrate correct aligning of the coin files and choosing the correct operation (cut, score, engrave) on the interface.

Demonstrate choosing the correct material for your print. In this case, "Medium Maple Plywood."

Demonstrate starting the print.

Demonstrate proper print removal. 

Demonstrate correct power-down and reset sequence for the Glowforge
