>> Printing from the MicroSD
In order to 3D print in the DSI, you must transfer your slice file to the Bambu CarbonX1 using a DSI MicroSD card.
You are welcome to use your own MicroSD as well, please let our student assistants know if this is something you want to do.
1. Place the MicroSD card (inserted in the DSI-provided USB dongle if needed) into your computer.
2. Slice your 3D model in Bamu Studio Slicer.
3. Ensure that the X1 Carbon Bambu printer and the correct nozzle size (.4 at this time) are configured in the slicer.
4. Save the print file (.gcode) via the “Export Plate Sliced file” pull down button to the MicroSD.
5. Eject the MicroSD and remove it from your computer.
6. Place the MicroSD drive in the Bambu Printer on the right side of the display. (Helpful Hint: To get the card to click into place, it may be helpful to use the tweezers provided in the print kit.)
7. Navigate to the picture of the file folder on the left hand side of the screen and select the "MicroSD" tab followed by the file you want to print.
