In the DSI, you must be trained and certified to use most of our equipment. 

You will be able to access all of these trainings right here in Canvas, or you can participate in on of our In-Person Workshops where we will train you in the DSI with supervised access to the equipment!

3D Printing, Laser Cutting and Cricut Makers

In order to gain access, you must first pass the

DSI Basic Safety quiz.

Safety Quizzes are short, online quizzes right here on Canvas that you must pass to prove that you understand the safety concerns and dangers that come with operating our machinery.

( NOTE: When looking through the online modules, the ** Check For Understanding **  quizzes are not required, but will allow for you to test how much you retained in the previous readings. )

Assessments/Demos are in-person in the DSI with a DSI Student Assistant. They are in place for you to demonstrate to us that you understand how to operate the machine safely.

You must pass the required Assessment before gaining Open Access to use the machine.
