C2: Proposal Document

Submit a (likely 2-page) document that contains the following information about your proposed creative project:

• Descriptive project title
• Team member names (each should turn in a copy of this proposal)
• Overview paragraph (what are you making? who is it for? what will they do with it?)
• Background paragraph (What's out there that's similar? How does that stuff work in comparison to your proposed system?)
• Ideal system packaging and expected packaging before end of class
• External systems or data sources you will integrate
• Biggest non-ASP roadblock in the project idea?
• Where will you get problem instances?
• Expected programming concepts used (one sentence for each to say how it comes up -- only list the relevant ones)
  • Temporal reasoning
  • Optimization criterial (#minimize or :~)
  • Numerical constraints over large domains
  • Projected enumeration
  • Brave/Cautious reasoning
  • Beyond-NP complexity
  • Scripting for custom ground-time functions
  • Scripting for multi-shot or incremental solving
  • Custom heuristics (#heuristic)
  • Custom constraint propagation (#theory)
  • Cluster computing
  • Approximate sampling, counting, or integration
