  1. There are a few possible reasons why it is easier to set fire to a piece of paper with a UV laser than a visible light laser. Please explain what you think is the main reason that this is the case.








  2. With a starting point from Fermat’s principle, explain in a few sentences and with illustrations how a thin positive lens refracts an incoming beams of light from a few different angles of your choice.
