Paper writing - Rough Figures
- Due Oct 23, 2019 by 5:20pm
- Points 10
- Submitting a text entry box
1) Tell me:
- Project name
- Team members
- Link to overleaf paper
2) Clean up overleaf so that I can comment on it
- Give it a title better than 'cse260'
- Get rid of junk sample text not being used
- Make sure your existing citations are formatted properly
3) Add draft figures
- The goal here is to outline all the figures you plan to have and make sure they tell your story. Obviously you don't have results yet, but you know what results you want to produce. You should have already thought about which figures you will need when you made your previous outlines.
- For each draft figure, put a draft in that conveys the idea. If its a plot, just draw it by hand with a pencil, label axes and snap a photo with your phone. If its better shown as before and after images, steal some pictures from the web and insert those. Whatever that will convey your point as well as possible.
- For each draft figure write a caption. Explain what is supposed to be in that figure. What should we see or notice. Pretend your figure is complete, and make up the caption you hope will be there in the end.
- Read through your figure captions and see if they tell the story. If not, then add another figure until they do.
All teammates will submit their own assignments. However for this assignment, all teammates submissions will point at the same Overleaf document. Work together on the figures and captions.
