In class on Tuesday, November 26, your team should give a 2-minute presentation about your proposed project idea. We (Adam, Isaac, and your classmates) will give you about 2 minutes of feedback in response.
To make sure we can show everyone's presentation from one laptop (Adam's), please create a new Google Slides presentation in this shared folder: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1y7aflb53rftn_dvvzgn1frYSPNanVm4m Links to an external site. It should already be shared with you @ucsc.edu Google account -- email Adam if this is not the case. A suggested template for you presentation can be found here: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1SQSmy6iX6It1hYCF4T3FvISeANsL_5iDTamPe47dzh0/edit?usp=sharing Links to an external site. You can use more than one slide if you want to show several large images/videos, but one slide will be enough for most projects at this point. These slides will not be available to the public, though your live presentation will be recorded into the webcast.
Required content:
- a descriptive project name
- a list of team members (including cruzid)
- what will you generate and how (about one paragraph)
- what's the biggest design risk in this project (one sentence or phrase about what specific part might not work out)
- what should it look/play/feel/sound/taste like? (ideally described via embedded pictures)
Scoring:
* [1 point] a working link to slides submitted here on Canvas
* [1 point] conveying the required content in the slide design
* [1 point] actually presenting in front of the class
* [1 point] having the whole team present
* [1 point] effective communication in live presentation (independent of slide design)
What makes for a good presentation?
Be able to make a clear statement like "During the final presentation time, we'll be able to show you / let you play with ... {something that sounds awesome where the awesome part was generatively designed}"
