Psocial: Get 5 "thanks" on Glitch
- Due Mar 16, 2020 by 7:59am
- Points 5
- Available until Mar 16, 2020 at 8am
Before 8am on Monday of Finals week, get 5 other Glitch users to "thank" you on the Glitch website. You public profile on Glitch shows how many times you've been thanked by others. Example: https://glitch.com/@ucsc-amsmith Links to an external site.
The thanks can come from any Glitch user (classmates, course staff, randos in the larger Glitch community, etc.). While you can probably think of sneaky ways to quicky boost your thank count, consider using the feature to represent who genuinely helped you.
When you are collaborating with someone on Glitch (at the level of inviting them to literally work on the same code), you have the option of giving them credit for helping you. To do this, click their user icon in the top-left of the page. Here's a visual example:
The first step in getting help is somehow getting your project URL shared. Share it on Discord, email, or just say the words out loud so someone else can type in the address. Actively practice collaborating on specific chunks of code; don't just talk about code in vague terms. One super easy way of helping: Press the "format this file" button in the code editor for the project owner if their code looks strangely indented. Strange indentation slows everyone down, and it takes just one click to fix it.
Scoring: The TAs will look the the profile page for the Glitch account you used to submit P0 (on Monday of finals week). Your score on this assignment will be min(numThanks, 5).
