- Read through Benner’s Homeric Grammar section and then translate 1.1-7 and 1.147-187 (Agamemnon and Achilles), or at least as much of it as you can
- Scan the rest of lines 1-7 and practice reading them
- Read all of Iliad Book 1 in English
