  • Sachs, Jeffrey. End of Poverty, Ch. 3 "Why some countries fail to thrive" pp. 51-73 Links to an external site. (PDF pages 67-89)
  • Find something to read criticizing Sach's view that more aid is needed and giving an alternate view. Hint: search for Easterly, Munk, or Moyo. These authors have all written books with alternative view, but you can probably find some shorter articles. (I will ask for the alternative viewpoint in class when we discuss)
